What is a “Co-operative Nursery School?” A co-operative nursery school is owned by the parents and administered by them as a non-profit organization. They hire trained teachers and a program coordinator to direct the program and the parents themselves participate as teacher assistants.
Woodside Nursery School is supported and maintained by a board of parent volunteers. Parents have many opportunities to share in their child’s early education and development. Participation in the classroom, field trips, and/or a board position creates a strong partnership between teachers, parents, children, and the school.
