Woodside Nursery School was founded in 1956 as non-profit, non-sectarian, cooperative nursery school. The school is chartered by the NYS Board of Regents. Woodside admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of color, race, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and other school-administered programs.
Woodside Nursery School is supported and maintained by a board of parent volunteers. Parents have many opportunities to share in their child's early education and development. Participation in the classroom, field trips, and/or a board position creates a strong partnership between teachers, parents, children, and the school.
